Job Summary:

Proventus Global is searching for an Electrical Engineer to lead projects within our Engineering and Design team. This role is responsible for the creation, development, and oversight of projects within the DC Products space which includes DC Microgrids and EV DC Fast Chargers. It includes developing RFP submissions, engineering drawings, certification, specification documents, consulting with third party engineering partners, project planning, budgeting, document tracking, communicating technical solutions through varies media, and working with various project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the design, procurement, and implementation of electrical equipment;

  • Evaluate electrical products and prototypes through designing and conducting electrical studies;

  • Design electrical equipment solutions for new customers;

  • Draft technical documentation, drawings, schematics related to electrical equipment (single line diagrams);

  • Ensure that the electrical equipment solutions satisfy codes, guidelines, regulations (North American), customer requirements, and other relevant constraints;

  • Participate in interactive discussions with key personnel in the company to develop and strengthen projects;

  • Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations;

  • Liaise and coordinate with various project stakeholders (customers, engineers, team members, utilities) through project documentation, update calls, and presentations;

  • Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field;

  • Proven experience design and implementation of power equipment;

  • Knowledge of Autodesk Electrical, EPlan, ETAP, and other simulation software;

  • An Engineer in Training or A Licensed Professional Engineer;

  • Knowledge of electric vehicles and EV chargers

  • Knowledge and experience with power conditioning systems (PCS), voltage drops, programmable logic controllers (PLC), supervisory control & data acquisition (SCADA) and control systems, energy and utility industries, and a strong understanding of the regulatory environment;

  • Knowledge of the design of power electronics, control strategies, and system architecture

  • Very strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, particularly technical writing;

  • Independent worker with good time management skills;

  • Having the attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork;

  • Experience with Visio, AutoCAD, Autodesk, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Teams)
